About the project
A portal for verified partners to optimise the management of their vacation rentals. Properties can be listed, invoices viewed and bookings can be managed. By implementing a scoring system, partners are provided with individualised suggestions for improvement of each of their apartments to increase booking rates.
The project aimed to fundamentally improve and redesign the user experience and the user interface of the search engine's partner portal. The focus was on two different areas: optimising the data quality of the accommodations and making the provided statistics clearer and more accessible to users.
A key challenge was that the quality of the data is largely dependent on user input. Therefore, a strategy was developed to indirectly motivate users to improve their information and thus increase the likelihood of a booking. To this end, a scoring system was introduced that specifically points out weaknesses in users' data and provides concrete recommendations for improvement. This allows users to significantly increase the booking chances of their inventory.
In addition to improving data quality, user-friendliness and data visualisation have been improved. This should enable users to better understand their data and optimise it in a more targeted manner. As part of these innovations, a new design was also developed, which rounds off the look of the entire portal and brings it up to new standards.
- Measurement of optimizations through user surveys
- Introduction of "action tasks" for user control
- Design according to existing development standards
